| MGPA Board Succession Plan MGPA announces the appointment of Simon Treacy as Chief Executive Officer |
16 June 2010 - MGPA is pleased to announce the appointment effective 01 September of Simon Treacy as Chief Executive Officer of MGPA. Simon succeeds Jim Quille, Chief Executive since the foundation of the Company, who will remain with the business as Chairman of the Board of Directors and as a member of the Boards of the General Partner entities that manage MGPA’s funds. Commenting, Jim Quille said: "This is an important and planned step in the evolution of MGPA that will ensure continuity and facilitate the ongoing growth and success of our business. In his current role as Chief Executive, Asia, Simon has overseen the strong growth of our business in that area of the world and we are delighted he has accepted our invitation to take up the global CEO role." Simon Treacy said: "This is an exciting time for global real estate and great opportunities lie ahead for MGPA, its clients and investors. We have a very strong team here with a proven track record and we will remain resolutely focused on delivering the strong range of products and services together with the focused and responsive service that our investors have come to expect." Additional management changes from 01 September 2010 Alex Jeffrey, Chief Executive, Europe, will become Chief Investment Officer, taking over from Andrew Wood, who has been in the post since the foundation of the Company. Alex’s responsibilities will include global investment strategy, the investment approval process and client relations. Andrew will remain an Executive Director assisting Alex and Simon in areas that they will determine, which will allow him to step back from day to day operations. Alex’s responsibilities in Europe will be taken over by Laurent Luccioni, Managing Director, Europe Funds, who will become Chief Executive, Europe. John Saunders, Managing Director Asia Funds will take over Simon’s responsibilities outside Japan and become Chief Executive, Asia ex-Japan, while Simon will continue to have oversight of Japan. Both John and Laurent will continue to have responsibility for the MGPA managed funds for which they are the portfolio managers.
