Jim Quille
Jim Quille is MGPA's Chairman and CEO is responsible for the strategic management and oversight of MGPA globally. He has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector and prior to the establishment of MGPA, was a director of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments with over 19 years’ experience with the Lend Lease Group in fund, asset, development and project management. Jim has worked in Australia, the UK, the USA and Hong Kong, and has managed investment activities in South America, and throughout Asia and Europe. Jim was responsible for the establishment of Global Fund I in 1999 and was involved in the structuring, capital raising, investment program and its performance. Jim is Chairman of the Investment committee for all MGPA managed funds.
Andrew Wood
Andrew Wood is the CIO and a founding shareholder of MGPA. Andrew’s responsibilities include oversight of MGPA’s global investment activities and processes and he is a member of the MGPA Investment Committee. He also retains responsibility for Global Fund 1, MGPA’s original investment vehicle which he assisted in establishing in 1998. Andrew has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector in UK, Continental Europe, Asia and the USA. Prior to establishing MGPA he was a Principal of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc in the USA where his responsibilities included funds management, investor relations and product development. Andrew is a Counselor of Real Estate in the USA and Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors in the UK.
Alex Jeffrey
Alex Jeffrey is CEO of MGPA's European operations and is responsible for MGPA’s business in Europe. In this role he manages the business’s 100-strong team across six offices, as well as overseeing the investment strategy and programme of MGPA’s European real estate funds which have some US$2.3 billion under management. Alex has 20 years’ experience in finance and banking, of which the past 11 years have been exclusively dedicated to real estate. Alex has an MA (Hons) in Law from the University of Cambridge in the UK and an MBA from INSEAD in France.
Simon Treacy
Simon Treacy is CEO for MGPA's Asian investment operations, responsible for all of MGPA’s investment and fund management activities. He was previously country manager for Japan where over six years he established MGPA operations in Japan. Prior to establishing MGPA, Simon was with the Lend Lease Group for 15 years in various investment management roles across financial services, infrastructure and the investment real estate sector. Simon moved to Asia in 1996 and has experience across the region and has lived in Singapore, Thailand, Hong Kong, Japan and China. Simon has a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Griffith University, Brisbane in Australia.
Ken Curtis
With over 20 years experience in real estate, Ken Curtis has focused much of his career on real estate investment in Japan. Prior to joining MGPA, Ken was a Managing Director of MEC International Limited in Tokyo, a private real estate investment business with primarily Japanese investors, and was responsible for arranging capital and initiating real estate investments. Ken established and managed Secured Capital operations in Japan for seven years during which time he arranged US$1 billion of real estate and mortgage loans in the United States on behalf of Japanese real estate investors. Ken has an MBA from the University of North Carolina and a Bachelor of Arts from Colby College.
Neil Jones
Neil Jones is MGPA’s CFO and is responsible for the management of all financial, accounting and compliance functions of MGPA and its managed funds. Neil has over 20 years’ finance, accounting and risk management experience working in Hong Kong, the UK, the USA and Australia, of which the last 10 years have been spent in the real estate sector. Neil was previously a Senior Vice President with Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, Inc and a Senior Group Manager for Ernst & Young. Neil has a Bachelor of Economics from Macquarie University, Sydney in Australia, a post-graduate Investment Diploma with the Securities Institute of Australia and is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Australia.
Digby Okell
Digby Okell is the COO for MGPA's Europe operations and in this capacity is head of the investment management operations in Europe. Digby has over 27 years’ experience in the real estate sector and, prior to establishing MGPA, he worked in the investment management, asset management development and project management disciplines across the Lend Lease Group. He has experience in managing investments in Asia, UK, the EU, Australia and South Africa. Digby has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Quantity Surveying from Natal University in South Africa.
Michael Wilkinson
Michael Wilkinson is the CEO of MGPA Asia Developments, and is responsible for all development projects undertaken on behalf of the Funds in Asia. Mike has 20+ years experience in property development and investment in Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, China, Australia and New Zealand. He is a founding shareholder of MGPA, and a member of the Company’s Executive and Investment Committees.
Brett Straatemeier
Brett Straatemeier is responsible for all corporate investment partnership activities in Asia and is a founding shareholder of MGPA. Brett has 20 years’ experience in the real estate sector in property investment, corporate finance, mergers and acquisitions, asset management and acquisitions. He has been involved in investments in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, and Indonesia, in the office, retail, residential, and industrial sectors. Prior to establishing MGPA, Brett worked with the Lend Lease Group throughout Asia. He has a Bachelor of Administration from Griffith University, Brisbane in Australia and is a CPA in Australia.
Moonduck Kim
Moonduck Kim’s responsibilities include capital transactions in South Korea. Moonduck has 25 years’ experience in real estate investment, with particular expertise in development and acquisition. Moonduck spent eight years’ in the USA working in a joint venture that
developed hotels, neighbourhood shopping centres and single detached homes. Following his return to South Korea in 1994, Moonduck worked on a number of mixed-use development projects in South Korea, Indonesia and Vietnam. Prior to joining MGPA, Moonduck focused on South Korean acquisitions and asset management strategies for the Lend Lease Group. Moonduck has a BA in Business Administration from Korea University in South Korea.
Shigeaki Shigemasa
Shigeaki Shigemasa has over 24 year experience in real estate with much of that experience being in development in both the USA and Japan. He has responsibility for the acquisition and development programme for MGPA in Japan. Prior to joining MGPA Japan, Shigeaki worked with Sumitomo Realty & Development for 21 years, including 11 years in the USA as president of a Sumitomo subsidiary. Shigeaki's experience has been in residential development and investments in commercial properties. After returning to Japan in 2001, he was responsible for condominium developments and property management. Shigeaki has a Bachelor of Economics degree from the University of Tokyo in Japan.
