Established in 1999, Global Fund I is the founding fund for MGPA. 

The Fund was established as a truly global fund with a mandate to invest anywhere in the world.  After a successful investment program, the Fund comprised a portfolio of assets spread across Europe and Asia which since inception, has had a combined asset value of US$4.3 billion.

Through its life cycle, Global Fund I has:

• acquired a total of 21 investments comprising 87 properties;
• managed assets in 12 countries across Asia and Europe;
• invested in single assets, portfolios, real estate operating companies, developments and redevelopments; and
• managed and owned properties in the office, retail, residential, industrial and logistics sectors.

During this period the Fund has also sold and re-invested close to US$750 million in capital.

Global Fund I has completed its divestment phase, and is currently in liquidation.
