Location - based in China, Malaysia and Singapore

Working integrally with the Project Teams, you will be responsible for the securing and delivery of a variety of development projects. Key responsibilities will be to lead and manage site assessments, undertake detailed feasibility studies, retain and direct Architects, Engineers, Contractors, Planners and other specialised consultants as required and review and critically assess Authority requirements. Managing multiple development and redevelopment projects to time, quality and cost budgets, you will also be required to liaise with project managers to ensure optimal delivery of construction services, take responsibility for project financial management, including preparation of project budgets, evaluating and assessing all forms of potential risk and ensure strategies and plans are developed to mitigate those risks.

You will have prior experience in the management and successful delivery of complex property development projects and experience in international standard retail, hotel or commercial real estate. A strong negotiator, you will also possess excellent people management, software skills and an advanced reporting and presentations capability.

MGPA Kuala Lumpur is currently seeking a Development Manager, Commercial to work with our Project Management team to manage and deliver a large scale redevelopment project. Finance Manager - Tokyo
 

Location - based in Tokyo

Leading a team of Investment Accountants, this role will be responsible for managing the financial management of Asian and Japanese focused real estate investment funds.  Key responsibilities will include overseeing the preparation of special purpose vehicle (SPV) level management accounts, the production of annual financial statements for investment and SPV companies, the management of all tax initiatives for investments and the direction of cash flow forecasts (monthly) and inputs for fund models.

The successful applicant will be a qualified accountant with a minimum of five years experience. Team management skills and knowledge of statutory reporting, including IFRS and US GAAP, JGAAP and J tax are also required. Previous property accounting experience and exposure to foreign currency reporting is desirable.

Head of Project Management - Hong Kong
 

Location - based in Hong Kong

MGPA currently has an exciting opportunity for a Head of Project Management, based in Hong Kong, to drive multiple global systems projects and lead, manage and mentor the Global Special Projects team across Asia and Europe. Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, this role will be pivotal in growing and developing a world class IT platform for MGPA. Key responsibilities include leading the design and development of project plans, directing vendor due diligence, negotiation and acquisition, and identifying and deploying project resources. Leading the Special Projects Office in global roll out programs, implementation and delivery of systems projects, you will also conduct post implementation reviews and recommendations and manage and minimize risk in relation to projects.

You will require 10 years + IT / project management experience with proven track record of systems delivery and prior experience setting up / managing a PMO or project office function. Degree qualified and PMP (or similar) certified, you will possess outstanding leadership and management skills and an in-depth knowledge of project management tools and methodologies.

Investment Accountants - Hong Kong and Tokyo
 

Location - based in Hong Kong and Tokyo

We currently have exciting new opportunities available for Investment Accountants to join our growing finance teams in Hong Kong or Hong Kong. Reporting to the Finance Manager, these roles will be responsible for assisting in all aspects of the financial management of an Asian-focused real estate investment fund, including but not limited to the, preparation of the monthly/quarterly special purpose vehicle (SPV) level management accounts, the production of annual financial statements for investment and SPV companies, the co-ordination of all tax initiatives for investments and the preparation of cash flow forecasts (monthly) and inputs for fund models.

Ideally, you will be an ambitious, qualified accountant with a minimum of  2-3 years experience.  You will have book keeping experience and knowledge of statutory reporting, including IFRS and US GAAP (HK) JGAAP and J tax (Japan), be IT literate with a working knowledge of Excel (knowledge of Sun System desirable), and be fluent in English and Cantonese or Japanese.  Previous property accounting experience and exposure to foreign currency reporting is desirable but not essential.

Investment Manager - Malaysia

An opportunity exists in our Kuala Lumpur office for an Investment Manager to join the Malaysian Project team to maximise the investment performance through the portfolio management of a large scale mixed use development asset currently held in Kuala Lumpur. Reporting to the Project Director, the key responsibilities involve driving property performance through rental and capital value of the asset, and identification of value enhancement opportunities for the asset.

Ideally, you will have demonstrated experience in the investment management of a major asset or substantial asset portfolio, and a track record in asset acquisition and disposal. Tertiary educated you will also possess exceptional financial modelling skills and fluent English language skills.

This key leasing role will be pivotal in developing and delivering appropriate commercial/retail leasing strategies and plans to maximise rental revenue and return. Project Managers - China, Malaysia and Singapore
 

Location - based in China, Malaysia and Singapore

These key senior roles will be responsible for the project management and delivery of a large scale mixed-use development project for MGPA Malaysia and Singapore, from project planning through to construction and completion phase. Based in Kuala Lumpur or Singapore, a key focus will be the management of contracted project managers and consultants.

Responsibilities include selection and supervision of site contractors and subcontractors working on various phases of the project to ensure that standards of building performance, quality, cost schedules and safety are maintained, overseeing the review of cost estimates and the documentation for contract bids, ensuring that all required building regulations, standards and by-laws are enforced in building operations. Other key duties include consulting with architects, engineers and other technical workers to ensure that design intentions are met as well as monitoring and tracking construction schedules to achieve completion of projects according to timeframes and budgets allocated.

Ideally, you will have at least 10+ years of large scale construction project management experience in the Asian region and a track record of success in A Grade building construction environments – commercial, retail and hotel. Tertiary qualified in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture or a related field, you will also require advanced communication and relationship building skills (from site level to senior management) and well developed management and leadership capability.

Risk and Compliance Associate - Singapore
 

Location - based in Singapore

Reporting to the Risk and Compliance Manager, Asia and based in Singapore, you will provide assistance in the management and maintenance of all regulatory and licensing requirements for MGPA Asia. Key responsibilities include supporting the development of an internal and external risk profile analysis, reviewing risk and compliance programs and internal controls, implementing and executing risk and compliance reporting and monitoring and identifying, analysing and reporting non-compliance and formulate remediation plans. Analysing the potential impact of regulatory trends and developments, you will also be involved in increasing risk and compliance awareness amongst staff through training and information initiatives.

Ideally, you will have a minimum of two years work experience in compliance and risk management, with a specialisation in licensing, in the banking/finance industry. Experience in real estate would be well regarded. Degree qualified, you will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail and excellent communication skills, including fluency in English and Mandarin.

Reporting to the Treasury Manager Japan, this role will be responsible for assisting in the management of MGPA’s Japan treasury and related reporting requirements for an Asian-focused real estate investment fund.  Key responsibilities include liquidity management, hedging management, debt and facility Management and treasury reporting.

Ideally, you will have two years + of corporate treasury experience in an investment banking environment with outstanding excel/modelling skills and strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will also require familiarity with derivative transaction documentation and be tertiary qualified in finance/economics/accounting.

Fluency in Japanese and English is essential.

Candidates will ideally have 7-10 years relevant experience, will come from a strong project and development management background with skills in opportunity identification and conversion and development delivery from inception to completion.
 
In this role, you will be required to support an investment acquisitions team, lead negotiations, coordinate property professionals, manage Joint Venture partners and deliver major mixed use development projects throughout Europe.
 
The successful candidates will have experience in development management of projects in the UK and continental Europe, be familiar with UK and European procurement documentation and planning regimes. You will also have strong contacts with developers and consultants and you will be commercially astute, personable, confident and able to communicate at all levels.

Investment Accountant - Warsaw
 

Location - based in Warsaw, Poland

Due to the continued growth of our European operations, MGPA has a new opportunity for a Fund Investment Accountant in Poland. The role will be an integral part of the European Finance team, providing fund level accounting and finance services.

Key responsibilities will be to review monthly/quarterly property manager reports for fund investments, review monthly/quarterly SPV management accounts and produce annual statutory financial statements. You will also be required to liaise with auditors, prepare monthly cash-flow forecasts and inputs for the fund model from Sun Systems and provide budget comparisons and revisions.

The ideal candidate will be recently qualified (ACA, ACCA or equivalent), preferably with fund accounting experience in the real estate industry. They will be highly numerate with strong attention to detail and an ability to work under pressure.
